Toucan Hub healthy lunch

Healthy lunch at our Hub

Published —

We’ve been working hard on developing our lunch offer at Toucan!

Some of our children have limited diets and we are slowly encouraging them to try more food. We are also working towards keeping sugar levels even throughout the day to help children stay regulated and focussed.

On the menu today was homemade tomato soup with masses of blended veg in, tuna and chicken sandwiches, carrot and cucumber sticks and apples. They finished off with full fat Greek yoghurt with agave in to sweeten in a little.

We are very proud of what we have achieved so far and aim to do better. We also aim to have a low plastic usage so make everything we can from scratch and avoid small individual portions to avoid plastic packaging. We are looking to use local organic vegetable providers also.
